Professional Skipper Services

Yacht Deliveries and Charters, Southampton, Solent & More

We offer professional skipper services for private events in the Solent, Southampton, Hamble, and the South coast. Our skippers are experienced, commercially endorsed Yachtmasters that are willing and ready to help.

If you are considering a long voyage but are unsure if you have the required experience, we are able to assist with a professional skipper to provide you with the confidence and support you need. Alternatively, Poseidon can provide full management of the yacht delivery and meet you at the other end.

Private tuition onboard your own boat with one of our instructors is provided at a cost of £250 per day. Private tuition with a certificated RYA course, such as RYA Day Skipper are provided at £280 per day with a maximum of 4 student.

Management of deliveries

Coding your vessel and ensuring your operations are above board can be challenging and time consuming.

The MCA's Intended Pleasure Vessel (IPV) code has brought greater regulation over how all marine industry professions operate pleasure vessels.

We offer IPV compliant “turn-key” service that removes the stress for any business wishing to offer sea-trials or deliveries. We operate under a fully MCA compliant Safety Management System and can also supply a full safety pack, including life raft, where the vessels equipment may be out of service or insufficient.

Commercial Skippers

Our professional skippers are qualified to a minimum of RYA Yachtmaster Offshore with commercial endorsement.

We ensure our skippers are provided with sufficient preparation time prior to departure. They will thoroughly check all systems on board are working correctly. This will ensure effective delivery and minimises any risks to the yacht and crew.

All the crew we provide are well referenced in our recruitment process. Through our consultation with you, we ensure the crew we provide meet your expectations and qualification needs.
