This Baba 40 has had some extensive restoration over the last several weeks. Being an extremely pretty boat it was essential that the overall finish complemented her good looks. 

Her topsides were sanded, any defects ground out and filled. Primed with 4 layers of tough high build epoxy primer and then sanded again to attain an exceptionally flat finish, something that is quite hard to achieve with her planking lines. Once primed and sanded, her topsides were coated with 3 layers of high gloss 2K topcoat that has exceptional scratch and UV resistance once fully cured. Most companies would stop here, but not us...

Achieving the ultimate depth of color and lustre.

after several consultations with the owner, it was decided that there would be additional steps taken to ensure the paint systems used would last for a long period of time and retain their depth and gloss indefinitely. To do this, the already 7 layers of paint were topped with an additional 2 layers of High Solids 2K clear coat, something that is unusual within the marine industry. The final result is a boat that shines like no other. Not only does she look amazing from a distance but she also looks stunning when you stand close up. The depth and lustre of the paint systems used should impress others wherever this boat now goes.
